TC 8.0 ß24 (Win32) - Error Executing Linked Program

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Post by *HaasUwe »

When I will start a Programm by clicking the LNK-File I get the Message:

Starting the program directly is working

roughly translated:

Error 31 means, there is no link for a specific file extension. May you have used a tool to remove the small arrow for links?

Solution: Switch arrow on again by the following:
1. Press Shift+F4 at Total Commander
2. Enter name linkfix.reg
3. Enter following text:

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile]
"IsShortcut"=""
4. Choose "Save as" and switch file type to "Unicode"
5. Perform a Doubleclick on the reg-file

Thks,
German is my native language, so I understood the Original Threat.

Instead of a Number it will be better to show a text, so everbody will see, what is wrong.

Have a nice day.
