TC 7.57a freezed for a long time when I opened context menu

TC 7.57a freezed for a long time when I tried to right click on zipped file. It displayed "Not Responsed" on the title bar of TC 7.57a. Has somebody encountered this issue? My OS is Vista Home Basic 32 bit.

On right click on a file, your operating system loads all dll files which are required by by the related shell extensions of the context menu.
This is not controlled by TC.

To find the guilty shell extension which causes the freeze you may use ShellExView as stated e.g. right here

But there is no this issue in TC 7.57. Now I'm using TC 7.57.

There is no difference in the context menu code between TC 7.57 and 7.57a. Maybe a virus scanner which doesn't know 7.57a yet...
