Selection in Sync dialog is lost after cancel deleting

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Selection in Sync dialog is lost after cancel deleting

Post by *MVV »

1. Open write-protected folder in right panel and start Sync tool.
2. Select some files and choose 'Delete right' from context menu, confirm delete and then choose 'Cancel' in 'Please remove the write protection' message. Selection is lost.

It is expected that selection will remain (it should still contain all unprocessed items, in other words TC should deselect only processed ones).

This is by design. The selection is removed when the operation is completed - either successful or unsuccessful. The sync tool doesn't currently support the removal of the selection only for the files which really could be deleted. The 'Please remove the write protection' message can occur in the middle of the operation when one file cannot be deleted.

But maybe you may leave selection if user cancels operation? It is quite easy to fix (if aborted, don't remove selection) and all should work fine (items will be removed with selection so only unprocessed items will remain selected).
