A few security discussion web forums I frequent refuse to allow gmail accounts from their members upon registration because of privacy concerns with Google. As a result I have a second web based email address both of which occupy a dedicated tab in Firefox.
It's something I have to live with (no major imposition when you think about it) so I'll do the same with this site. It now makes sense why I haven't heard from you in quite a while

Unfortunately we are still on GMail's blacklist after more than a year. There is no one to contact and nothing we can do about it. I can only recommend any business and individual out there to NOT use GMail for anything important. They will block mails without any reason using some obscure system, and never unblock them once they are blocked. There is also no customer support at all.

As said above this isn't true. See posting 247831 in this thread. From the link mentioned there you can get to the troubleshooter for bulk email senders. And from there you can get to the Bulk Sender Contact Form.ghisler(Author) wrote:Unfortunately we are still on GMail's blacklist after more than a year. I tried this over a year ago, no reaction. I will try again. Even AOL unblocked us within a few days when we were blocked some time ago...

Some were indeed blocked, not just put into spam folder - I got regular e-mails from GMail users that they didn't get any reply at all. I told them that they went to spam, but they said that they checked it and found nothing.
Btw, as expected there was again no reply from GMail, and we are still blocked.

Yahoo Too
Another year has passed and I'm wondering if this issue has been resolved.
For longer than I can calculate I have experienced the same problem - but with Yahoo. I am never, nowadays, informed of activity on threads that I am following.
I do have a Gmail address, but that may be of no use, should I change my registered address from Yahoo to it.
My Yahoo address is working, generally, but appears to be suffering the same ailment at the XnView forum. Could it be something in the bulletin board software; in the construction of its messages..?

No, unfortunately not. We are still on the blacklist, and Google is not reacting to their online complaint forms.
I do not have this problem with my Yahoo account.

I see you have SPF setup and so on (yay).
Anyhow, your forum reg email went to my Google Apps Spam. (I chose that email on purpose after reading this sticky.)
I have two theories:
1. You have an alternate domain in the body as a link vs the mailer domain (ghisler.ch vs .com)
2. You are using phpBB2.
I lean towards item #2 because of how many sites I know that got hit with spam registrations from hell and also because of some major security issues that probably went unpatched by lazymins.
Of course I could be totally wrong and nutty.
I'm a long time admirer and would be happy to assist with testing.
Apologies if this is no help.
Cheers

I have turned off mail delivery from phpbb2 for many months now, yet I'm still blocked by Google.
