RC2 x64: Double click always needed

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

RC2 x64: Double click always needed

Post by *Krodo »

When I try to open a folder e.g. in the folder tree I always have to do a double click regardless of the option in the option menu. (I use the german version, so I can not exactly say the name of the option in the english version).
By the way: it would be much easier for me to report a bug in german...

I always have to do a double click regardless of the option in the option menu.
If it is the option in "Konfigurieren" -> "Einstellungen..." -> "Ansicht" -> "Baum" -> "Baum: EINGABE drücken, um Verzeichnis im Anderen Fenster zu öffnen" I can tell you that it works OK here for the (ordinary) Folder tree (Ctrl+F8 (Strg+F8)), and for the Separate folder tree (Ctrl+Shift+F8 (Strg+Umschalt+F8 )).

If you click on the small "+"-icons in front of the folders, then you always only have to click one time.
I use the german version, so I can not exactly say the name of the option in the english version
You can switch to English by Konfigurieren" -> "Einstellungen..." -> "Sprache (Language)". English is always available, even if you didn't choose to install other languages.

it would be much easier for me to report a bug in german
It would also be much easier for me to answer in Danish ;-)

EDIT: changed the text above - it does work for separate tree as well - I was too hasty.

That's it!

I didn't see the connection between the option you mention and my problem. But now after I disabled the option every thing works fine, no double click is needed in the separate tree to open a folder in the corresponding file window.
