If a folder has the hidden option disabled is NOT displayed
For example try to see the new Google Drive folder when you have Total Commander's option to not display hidden directories. Google Drive has the hidden option unchecked and disabled.

1. Try to enable showning hidden files...
2. ... or clear both (!) atributes H (hidden) and S (system) on your needed files/folders.

Ok, I just installed, tried and uninstalled the Google Drive (I don't need it). It creates a normal folder with the System attribute enabled. That's why you can't see it in TC - it treats it the same way as hidden files. So you have two options:
1. Disable the system attribute using either a command line or TC's Change Attributes... dialog. Everything will continue working, the folder will just loose its icon. (I'd prefer this one)
2. Let the the folder as it is, just create a shortut to it. You can have the shortcut in the same dir as Google Drive's dir and you can even name it the same way. You will even see its icon in TC, however you will see two Google Drive folders in Explorer, too.

Not if the folder has a read only attribute.Everything will continue working, the folder will just loose its icon.
Both attributes (system or read only) can be use for folder customization.
Btw: MS recommends to use read only attribute for customized folders.

That's why I said to set read-only attribute.
