Total Commander 1.0 final for Android released

Post by *GrAnd1 »

ghisler,
How to specify the path to Total left and right panels in the parameters passed to it ?

That's from the Help for Windows:
totalcmd.exe c:\windows in the left panel is loaded c:\windows.
totalcmd.exe d:\data c:\programs left: d:\data, right: c:\programs.
totalcmd.exe /R=d:\data Right panel: d:\data.
In android do not want to work, opens only one way in the panel, which was active when you exit the Total. Specify two ways, does not open either one, ie opens the root.

I need to startup of the TC in Tasker revealed two paths, rather than a one...

Worn out transfer... :(

Sorry, you can't. Android uses so-called Intents to send parameters to programs. A path is sent as a URL, and this only supports one path, not two or more.

Why can not parse the string passed ?

So what format would you suggest for an URL with two paths?

I did not convey intent... It is running (load) the application...
Is there a format URL?
Panels are opened by Total Commander or the Android?
Unless Total Commander can't disassemble the received line, let even in the URL format, on 2 paths?

Normally an URL sent via Intent to Total Commander (e.g. when you create a link to a Total Commander folder on the Android home screen) is sent in the form
file:///mnt/sdcard/folder

Beta versions installed themselves or could be installed on the micro-sd card.
But the final version can only be installed in the smartphone. This is extremely annoying when the smartphone has little amount of memory.
Is it possible to allow for moving the application to the micro-sd ?

???
I didn't change anything in the manifest, installing to SD-Card is still allowed! The following line is present in the manifest:

Code: Select all

android:installLocation="auto"
According to this page in the Google Android documentations:
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-element.html

"auto" means the following:
The application may be installed on the external storage, but the system will install the application on the internal storage by default. If the internal storage is full, then the system will install it on the external storage. Once installed, the user can move the application to either internal or external storage through the system settings.

With pre release version I install the apk on the SD card and the installation was automatically on the SD-Card.
With the final release I install TC from the market and it install on the internal storage. I have to move it to SD Card with an external help.

Maybe it happened because it was the first installation from market? All updates should go to the location of the previous installation, so the next update from Market should again go to the SD-Card.

it would be nice to be able to place shortcuts to action in those parts of the application window, which in the current versions are empty. Still want to move (removing!) Default shortcuts .
Thank you very much for the application

You can replace some of the default shortcuts (e.g. to downloads or photos) by holding a finger on the link until the context menu appears. You can't change the icon, though.

Congratulations on the 1.0 release to the Store (Play)! I've loved using the PocketPC for MIPS version of TC, and encourage all my colleagues to use TC for Android. Great app, and so well done as usual. Danke!
