Hang on opening network

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

I had some network problems, especially when copying.
I solved this like this:

Updated drivers for all network adapters on the network.
Set a fixed single speed network cards, instead of Auto which is the default setting.

Hope this can help you.

Excuse my bad English and spelling. ;-)

No, it does not have anything to do with the network drivers or settings, there is no problem in Explorer or on an identical computer with a different version of TC.

Total Commander isn't the Explorer - I have to use official Windows functions to access the network, while Microsoft can use some undocumented Windows interna. I have no idea what the Explorer uses to get network access. On the systems I tried, I don't see a speed difference, so something must be wrong with your setup causing these slowdowns.
