TC doesn't save position correctly when taskbar is moved

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC doesn't save position correctly when taskbar is moved

Post by *ymmv »

I noticed this in TC 7.5 and it's still a bug in TC 8.0: "Save position" doesn't work correctly when the taskbar is at the left of the screen instead of at the bottom.

Here's what you do to see the bug:

- Drag the Windows taskbar to the left of the screen
- Resize Total Commander and make sure that the TC window touches the bottom of the screen
- Save this position
- Quit and restart TC
- TC hasn't correctly remembered the screen position. There's empty space at the bottom, the exact size of the taskbar that was moved to the left.

My sytem: TC 8.0 on Windows 7 64-bit

Not confirmed. TC always saves its position correctly. Is there any chance you're using some kind of a desktop modifying software? (Something that duplicates your taskbar on other monitors or anything like that.)

Can't reproduce either (checked TC8 32 and 64 bit). Maybe your graphics driver or something like that is interfering with TC. ATi CCC is known to have such influence.

I've got an Nvidia card and I'm using the most recent driver version. I'm going to check this on the Windows 7 x64-PC at work.

Not conformed either - I'm using an NVIDIA card too. Are you using any kind of multiple desktop software?
