There is a difference between TC 8.01 rc1 x32 and x64.
1. Make sure there are no custom columns defined.
2. Open Configuration->Options...->Custom columns.
3. Double-click on the empty list of custom column sets.
4. If you are using TCx32, nothing happens, but if you are using TCx64, a dialog for a new set appears.
If there are existing column sets, double-clicking will always trigger editing of a selected set.

That seems to be a difference between Lazarus and Delphi - I get an On DoubleClick event in Lazarus, but not in Delphi...

Confirm fixed in rc2.
Still, if the list contains some items, double-clicking the empty space opens the selected item for editing (or the first one if neither is selected). Is it intended behavior?

Thanks for confirming the fix. I prefer to keep the other reaction to double clicks as it is. I don't want to dig too deep in the Lazarus controls, this could result in far more problematic misbehaviour.
