Missing popup when tabbing directories - 64 bit version.

Post by *rskret »

Note that this report is for the 64 bit version.
I have just now tried the 32 bit and it works perfectly well.

Using Ctrl+tab to tab through directories does not usually cause a directory indicator to popup. The indicator works every time in all TC7 versions.

Major thing as you only see ultimate directory names in the tab labels themselves. So you don't know the full address you will arrive at unless you let go of the Ctrl key and actually visit the directory. That slows things down in a major way.
Total Commander dependant.

Confirmed. In my case I can see those tooltips only for tabs over the left panel and only if they point to directories stored on drive c:.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

It seems that tooltip is shown only if the tab's x-coordinate is under certain limit. If I move TCMD window to the left then more tabs show its tooltip. For my resolution (1920x1080) I guess the limit lays around 700px.

EDIT: I mean the absolute x-position on the desktop.

Looks like it doesn't have to do anything with left/right panel or tab targets. Fleggy is right - it works only for tabs, that are close to the left side of a monitor. To be a bit more precise, in a zone, that is as wide as the width of one file panel in TC.

@Christian Ghisler:
Thank's for the nice quick fix. That pop up was taken for granted and hardly noticed until I went missing in the first version of TC8-64bit. But I could not work efficiently without it and went 32 bit.

Confirmed: Fixed in 8.01rc2 64bit.
