[8.01rc5] Complicated FTP jobs freezes TC's window

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[8.01rc5] Complicated FTP jobs freezes TC's window

Post by *MaxX »

Reproduce:
1. Connect to ftp server (e.g. A), start uploading 2 files* to A in background parallel (no queue, each with own BTM window)
2. Connect to another ftp server (B), start same upload with same 2 files, also in BG, each with own BTM
3. Connect to one more another ftp server (C), start same upload with same 2 files, also in BG, each with own BTM
4. Start uploading 3rd file to A
5. Start uploading 3rd file to B
6. Start uploading 3rd file to C
7. Connect to another ftp (D), upload some small file (1-2 kbytes) to any dir
8. Disconnect from D.
9. Connect to D to check it's root dir and quickly (2-3 sec) disconnect.
10. Here we are! Main TC window does not react on any clicks, keyboard or hotkeys, except Alt+F1 and Alt+F2 but without any further reaction for any actions. Parallel 9 BTMs still work (upload files) good and finish uploads normally, but don't close their windows when complete.

Also, when Alt+Tab'ing to any BTM - it become active, but when Alt+Tab to main TC window - no reaction. The only way to activate TC's window is to click on it's icon in bottom Windows's taskbar. Windows' taskmgr says TC still works good.

After all: only killing TC's process became a soluton.

What's wrong?

TC 8.01 RC5 x32 @ Win7 x64.

p.s.
Such an actions is my almost weekly actions and I've never got such a bug before.
FTP servers are same for all the time.

* Those files should be enough big to be uploading more then 30 mins in normal conditions for each file. I did this with ~200…220 MB files with 3 Mbit/sec uploadable network.
