[TC 8.0 x64] Lister scroll after search text

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

I do some research. This is caused by Microsoft mice. I see this odd behavior on two machines both with MS mice. On other machine with non-MS mouse lister works fine. When I disconnect MS mouse and connect non-MS and restart computer, lister works fine. When I attach MS mouse back, lister works wrong. Installing latest IntelliPoint SW (driver SW for MS mouse) change nothing.

Strange, I have a Microsoft Comfort Mouse 6000 and an older Intellimouse Optical USB both connected to my computer, but there is no such problem. I do not use the Intellipoint software, though - just the standard Windows 7 mouse driver.

I uninstall IntelliPoint SW from one of my machines and now lister is working correctly.

It would be nice if you fix it. I can assist you, if needed, but you should be able to reproduce this issue once you install IntelliPoint SW.

Unfortunately my Microsoft micee don't have a notchless wheel, which seems to be the problem here.

Yes, there was another thread with this problem, where the user had a MS mouse with a so-called "smooth scroll wheel". It seemed that this was causing his problem, because removing Intellipoint (which supports this type of wheel) and using the standard driver fixed his problems.

Unfortunately I don't have any idea so far what exactly is going wrong, sorry.
