date format

Post by *CITYGUY »

I'm using total commander in English in android. I can not change the date format. It always displays mm.dd.yy
If I change the language of total commander to Bulgarian the date format changes to dd.mm.yy.

I want to know how to make the date format in English to be dd.mm.yy.

I also checked my phone settings for the date format of the phone. I m using HTC one x and again the default date format there is dd.mm.yy. , but in total commander (when in English) it is mm.dd.yy

How can I fix this?
Thank you for a great app this is by far the best file manager both for Windows and Android.

This is a known bug of Android, the functions return the U.S. format even on UK devices. I have therefore made the date format configurable in TC for Android 2.0. You can find the first beta here:

Thank you for the quick reply. I downloaded the new beta version and everything seems fine now. I'll post my observations at the other topic. Thanks again

The other topic is locked... I would have said there: when you do a sort by name or other criteria, it sorts the files only, not the folders. Or may be I'm doing something wrong?

Scrolling: it is very, very useful when you start scrolling by sliding a finger up or down to have letters appear alongside the scroll bar. This way in long file list, if you're looking for a file, which name starts with the letter "p", you can just tap on this letter and the list will roll over to the files starting with "p". And if in this file list there is no file which starts with the letter "n", then this letter is "inactive" in the list.

I'm sorry if I am over demanding, but knowing total commander in Windows, one can only say that you are a perfectionist, and I am used to having the most convenient and advanced file manager when I'm talking about total commander. :)

There is a checkbox in the sort order dialog which allows to sort by folders too (but not mixed order).
