View doc files saved in compatibility mode?

Hi,

None of the lister plugins I've installed so far is able to open *.doc files saved in Word 2010 in compatibility mode with previous versions of Word. Such doc files are zip files with a different structure from that of docx files. Neither "OOoViewer" nor "OOView" nor "office" plugins work, though I have tried tweaking in the Plugin Manager.

Any advice?

The forum-search has many results with "docx" or "docm". Did you check them?
