in Outlook signatures folder I have the following (among other files):
HD2_files (folder)
HD2.htm
HD2.rtf
HD2.txt
I select (with right click) all of them except HD2.htm (so 2 files and 1 folder)
click F8 (delete to bin)
ALL of them are deleted

after I reverted to 8.01 final, the problem is still present
should I think to a windows seven 64bit bug instead?
I made one more test, deleting single files: the errors happens when I delete the FOLDER or the HTM, not when I delete .rtf or .txt
deleting the folder, the htm file is deleted too, and viceversa

That's a Windows "feature", not a TC bug. In TweakUI there's a setting called "Manipulate connected files as a unit" with the following description:
EDIT:
I found the responsible registry setting:Setting this to 1 disables the file/folder connection and 0 enables it (i.e. deletes file and folder together). Note that I don't know if this settings works on Win7 though, so you will have to try that.

I don't know if it's possible to disable this setting on Win7 because TweakUI doesn't run on Windows versions higher than XP (even the TweakUI 64 Bit I found somewhere on the net refuses to run on Vista+).If the "Manipulate connected files as a unit" box is checked, then any operations performed on Document.htm (or Document.html) will also be performed on "Document_files" and vice versa. For example, if you delete Document.htm, then the Document_files folder will also be deleted.
This is a per-user setting, not available on all platforms.
EDIT:
I found the responsible registry setting:
Code: Select all
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]
"NoFileFolderConnection"=dword:00000001

This only happens when deleting to recycle bin. When you delete the files directly (Shift+Del), TC will only delete what you selected. It's a "feature" of the Recycle Bin functions.
