Playing directly mkv file via LAN plugin..

Post by *sheppaul »

Thanks for the great app in the first!!

Is it impossible to play mkv video files with other app (which supports mkv playback) via LAN plugin?

When I tried to open the mkv in local network, it was impossible to start playback.

Streaming is only supported by the beta version of the LAN plugin, which isn't in the store yet. To install it, tap on the green plus button in TC/Android in the home folder. Then, on the plugin download page, scroll to the bottom and tap on "beta plugins" at the bottom.

I forgot to say that I'd already been using the latest beta plug-in.

There is no problem with AVI or MP4. Is there any kind of restriction?
Only using TCMD x64. :)

Does TC android recognize smb://*.ext as Association for an external application?

When I'm trying to open .MKV over lan, ES file explorer seems to just pass a full filename with path (smb://address/filename.ext) to a player supporting SMB://.
Only using TCMD x64. :)

There is no SMB:// protocol on stock Android.
