IC, why not? Well, on the other hand maybe the line numbering could be made accessible by ALL lister plugins if it would make it into the core lister and accessible by the plugin API?

I leave this thread to the experts now as I can't add any more valuable content.

First off all, standalone app can be integrated, I think SynPlus is build like that (not sure), but according to what I know about programming, I think it can be done.

Of course, source code can be adapted, but I think TC's lister should have this option. I don't use TC lister, so it is not my requirement, but there are plenty of users there who use it most of the time and it IS fundamenta. I mean, line numbers..... we are not talking about yellow dot in left cornner....

99% of addons like this will surely be optional.
why it's a waste of time?

Because it will be done without your request. Requests like this just polute the board.

no offence.

none taken.

this is a public forum, and if someone has a request, as simple or incredible as it may be, they have every right to put it here.

Hello, I'm new here... after all the talk in this very old/dead post, is there a way I can see the number of lines in my lister?
Syn is only 32 bits, I need a solution for 64 bits. I really don't care how much it would take to read huge files (IMHO, a setting should be used to switch this on/off in Lister's Options menu). I am doomed to use notepad instead.

Thanks.
