Thank you for your interest in the plugin.
The use of the plugin is very simple, just install the plugin and then you can:
- select one or more files
- go to menu: Files-> Change Attributes...
- activate "Change plugin attributes"
- select "filetime_delta" plugin
- select "writetime_delta" property
- value can be a positive or negative numeric number
- and select the unit u want to change
( if you select h -> then the numeric number will decrees or increase the file time hours)
e.g.
- select "writetime_delta"
- Value: -3
-Unit: min
then the file time of the selected file will be 3 minutes earlier then the origin file time...
My use-case was:
I did pictures with two different cameras in my holiday... One cam has the time from home country and the other cam has the time from holiday country, so i went into trouble while i merged the files together... with this plugin i could manipulate all the file times from the pictures that have the home time zone to the same timezone like the other pictures...
thats it...

Mephisto77,
Thank you for your explanation. Plugin works indeed as described, I did only a quick test under TC 8.01, but it was clear enough. Maybe a good idea to add a small explanation in the plugin archive?
Two remarks:
1) The Change attributes dialog has a problem showing the full plugin name and selected property, but this is a generic TC problem, the comboboxes are non-scalable. A quick solution would be to shorten both plugin name and property name, but frankly I would not bother.
2) Way back in the past (before introduction of wdx plugins) forum member Hacker made a TC addon which does more or less the same as your plugin. See http://thehacker.host.sk/addtime/ I think he made it even for the same reasons as you did. I don't know if you were aware of this? Even then, I like the approach of the wdx plugin better, it's more integrated into TC.
Regards, EricB
Edit: I see you have posted a new archive which includes a readme.txt. Thanks for fast response!

EricB,
- readme is includes now
Remark 1
- You can simple rename the plugin name by yourself if you want, you only need to edit the plugin filename of the wdx (filetime_delta.wdx -> timedelta.wdx)
Remark 2
- i dont know the addtime plugin, but i can have a look on it...
-> yes it is nearly the same... the addtime is an normal exe that you give a list of the marked files and then a dialog is opening and you can select which timespan you can add... the differnece between both is exe with command line parameters vs. a real tc plugin
- but in the addtime addon you can not choose which time you manipulate, a file has 3 different times. creation/write/access time in my plugin you can choose
If you need to add years or days i can include it to the plugin, do you need?

Hi Mephi,
I saw the new archive with readme on www.totalcmd.net, but your response was even quicker than my edit of my previous post
I know I can rename the plugin, but as I already said, it is no big deal. Maybe some time in the future Christian will do some work on scalable dialog boxes.
Adding years or days seems a good extension. I do not need it myself (yet), but maybe some other people do. I can imagine that a camera might not support a leap year, so that's a good use case for days. And some computer bioses of which the battery is empty will set system date to some arbitrary start date in the past, so adding years might be interesting in that case.

The German language is OK; here is a quick draft of German Readme:
BTW:
What happens if I enter "3.5 minutes"?
PeterGerman readme; 19.11.2012; Version 1.3
Mephi
