Wrong path is saved after feeding search results to panel

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Wrong path is saved after feeding search results to panel

Post by *MVV »

Try to feed something to listbox and then close TC while search results are still in a panel. TC will reset current panel's path to C:\ while it is expected that previous path will be kept.

Tested with TC8.01rc4.

This is standard behaviour and will not be changed, sorry.

Are you sure someone will want to see C:\ if he forget about that standard behaviour? It is very irritating and absolutely pointless, and looks exactly like a bug (start TC... "hey, what a strange thing, where's my previously opened path?"... it is unclear that TC resets path to C:\ after feeding search results, it took some time for me to understand it both at that time and today).

I think TC should at least leave previously saved path instead, but it would be perfect (and 100% logical) to save path that was active before feeding search results - i.e. path that will be restored in a panel after pressing F2.
