Feature Request: Multi-Rename Repopulate
How about a button to repopulate the Multi-Rename dialog box with the results of the previous multi-rename? It'd save a step from having to reselect the files if you're having to do complex, multi-step renaming.
I second that one... : ) Its a bit *boring* to select the files allover again.. Its Very rarley u succeed in renaming the selected files to what u wish for at ONE rename session.
To Rename a list of say 100 Files with the [C] at the beginning of the file names and u want the [C] in the middle of every file, it takes about 3 rename sessions to achive that.. I am no rename whiz but I dont think thats possible in one operation.. If so someone please tell me how.. : )

Nice idea---

Hello,
• Yes, it's a good idea. I support it. That could avoid to write again the same parameters... No need to refill all fields.
• Further, different settings might be saved in small text-files, i.e. : *.mrt to find them easily - such an extension doesn't exist in my PC, it seems "free", I guess-.
* In that case, the extra-button could be "Load parameters" or so...
• It's possible that this wish has been discussed already... A "Search"
should be useful. I don't use the M.R.T. a lot...
Kind regards,
Claude

Yes, a good feature which has been proposed here before. I cannot recall if Christian gave some reasons of not being possible to implement. If not, I hope your suggested feature is high on his wish list.
"My only reason for still using M$ Window$ as an OS is the existence of Total Commander!"
Christian Ghisler Rules!!!

I also would like to have this feature.
Currently, there might be a partial workaround. You can move files temporarily to other forder (if they are in one dir), perform all the work and move them back. But it's not convenient.
Talking about multi-counters in multi-rename see help:
[C10+5:3] Paste counter, define counter settings directly. In this example, start at 10, step by 5, use 3 digits width.
Partial definitions like [C10] or [C+5] or [C:3] are also accepted.
[Caa+1] Paste counter, define counter settings directly. In this example, start at aa, step 1 letter, use 2 digits (defined by 'aa' width)
You can use letters to "grow" a,b,c,d,... and so on.
You can insert a few such tags! Have fun!
