ADB 60 Plugin
The backup has a focus problem, the progress box does not stay on top and once gone you can't bring it back.
The backup and restore speed is increased if you move the cursor around continually over the backup screen, if you stop then it slows down considerably. Backup has always done this.
If you check off all the apk and -shared boxes (3+ GB) backup takes hours (like 4+).
When I went to restore that took hours and DNF.
One other thing, on my new Win 8 laptop the ftp tool bar does not popup when I start the plugin so I don't see the command scroll did I miss something.
I really find this plugin useful and thank you for making it available.

Regarding the speed, it really depends what your ADB speed is. Also it depends how fast android performs the backup. It is 2 operations (the actual backup compression and transfer) but it is all Android dependant. I have never tried to backup the whole device. I use TB for that but still transferring 700MB over WiFi is a killer

All I can think of is that the TC debug option is not turned on?
Break between installs
Hi,
I am using your plugin to keep APK installations in sync between different devices to save on download costs.
After each install my relatively slow smartphone scans the apk with Dr.Web for viruses and then Link2SD links the install to the extsd.
All this takes time and the phone is overburdened by new installs coming in.
Can you think of any solution for this?
One thing that may be a fix is to have a switch in the options wher one can put in a user definable break which pauses the upload process for x-many seconds to allow the phone to do its processing.
Anyway, please keep up your great work, your plugin has quickly become one of my favorite TC features!

thank you. I am not sure how to solve your problem. I think it should be solved on the phone rather the plugin. The reason is that you can use any other way of syncing apps and data. I am using this for instance:
DataSync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quintstoffers.DataSync.beta&feature=order_history
So if we put some sleep in the plugin and you would use the DataSync that would have no effect of course. I would suggest you investigate if it's Dr.Web or the Link2SD who causes the high phone usage. Dr.Web could have a feature to wait between packages or not to use so much CPU. You should write to them. Link2SD on the other hand is only a script so not much work can be done there.
What I am trying to say is that solving it in one case is not a solution.

I find a strange thing, the files on device show me wrong create/modify time, like the picture shows, this app is created at 14:48 actually, but when I copy it to device, it shows the time at 06:48.
My timezone is GMT +8, I guess device just use GMT 0 to show files' time?

Since each device reports the time differently (both utc and local) there is an option for that in Optionscmlx wrote:I find a strange thing, the files on device show me wrong create/modify time, like the picture shows, this app is created at 14:48 actually, but when I copy it to device, it shows the time at 06:48.

Empty
Quite often I connect my device or devices and they show up in the ADP v61 plugin with their name, but when I click on the device name then the window shows absolutely nothing.
Sometimes it helps to dis- and reconnect the USB cable, but it seems this is happening more and more.
I just noticed, that I was able to see things after the helper app got installed, which I briefly saw appearing in the notification bar. Could it be that quite often the helper app does not get transferred (reliably) and therefore I see nothing?

Re: Empty
This only happens to me when you use the ADB over WiFi and the auto connect feature (bookmarked device). And it is obvious. Ctrl+R and it shows the files just fine. Anyway, you could send the logs of such situationbrahman wrote:Quite often I connect my device or devices and they show up in the ADP v61 plugin with their name, but when I click on the device name then the window shows absolutely nothing.

No, I am using only USB connections. Ctrl-R I have of course tried, but it does not do anything.

I often have the same problem with adb wireless on, while adb usb on works very well. And I just turn off wifi then turn on it to solve it, I guess it may be caused by android wifi management, not your plug-in, since all things depand on adb wireless have the same annoying problem.brahman wrote:I found a workaround: Killing adb.exe, which is then automatically started again by your plug-in.
