ext3 and ext4 FS plugins under windows 7 (32 bit)

Post by *yossiarbel »

Hello,
I have windows 7 , 32 bit with total commander 9.01.

This is a dual-boot machine, with two hard disks.
On one there are some ext3 partitions (Linux)
On the second there are some ext4 partitions (Linux)

1) I installed ext2/ext3 plugin from total commander site.
I run total commander as administrator.
When I try to browse the ext2/ext3 linux folders, I get this error:
unlock attempt on non existant group.
Ext2 plugin DIR/hdb9

2) when I try to install ext4 plugin, I get a message "missing dll".
It does not say which dll.

Any ideas?

regards,
Yossi,

2) plugin uses MSVCR90.DLL (which is part of vc2008 redistributible)
Almost the latest version of the plugin uses MSVCR100.DLL part of vc2010 redist
get the 32 bit version from Microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328
for 1) the old plugin has problems with ext4 and is more or less abandoned it may even have issues with UAC use 2) with msvcrt100.dll.
