I can't download https://plugins.ghisler.com/pubbeta/tcmdr602beta3.exe, from my corporate proxy connection.
I couldn't get which options I should change in the setup, in order to get it.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Tks in advance,

But when I switch tabs, TC still will reread the contents in the active tab.
The contents of tabs isn't preserved (except for the search results), just like changing dirs with Ctrl+D. Therefore TC has to re-read the dirs when you switch tabs.

Indeed it doesn't because the location of the key isn't always known. Your situation is special because you have set the ini path to the installation dir.
slownet wrote:open \\desktop,double click CloneCD.lnk, nothing happen. I can view it's property by pressing alt+enter, but when I press F3, alert window"file not found" appears(even I unload all plugins). Of course this link file works fine in exploer. acrobat link has same story. But most of link files on my desktop work normally.
That's strange, all Desktop links work fine here! Is there anything special about this link? Do the other links work?
icfu wrote:Why is the action "open folder in locked tab" still not possible
Because this option would require additional translations, and I didn't want to delay the new version by another 1-2 months. Remember that 6.02 is a bugfix version only, and the two new tab-related options are only experimental.

TC 6.02 beta 3 not exiting correctly after long work
At my job I put TC in autostart , all the day I use it, and only towards evening - I close it. After installation TC 6.02 beta 3, in the evening when I exit from TC, the program finishes job, but process TOTALCMD.EXE remains and loads CPU to 9x % :( Look a screenshot: http://www.sukerrussia.newmail.ru/tc_hungup.jpg
It repeats 3 days.
If I run TC, then close it - all ok.
I understand, that the reason may be any plug-in, but how to find out? The more so as in TC 6.01 all was fine...

I was rising discussion about TitleBar customization and possibility to turn off Licensee name in title (I don't want to anybody lookin on my screen know my name... when I'm using my laptop on airport or some exhibition).
Most ppl here agreed that it should be possible for registered users... but... it is not.

I hoped that it will be available on the new 6.02 release but still it is not.
So please give us (registered users) a chance to customize titlebar (window caption)

Here's a link about discussion about that:

It sounds like either an ftp connection or so is hanging, or a background thread. It is almost impossible to determine why it hangs. I dont think that this is 6.02-specific, I didn't change so much in the internals of TC, but of course it cannot be excluded. It would probably take many to find out the reason, and since no one else seems to have this problem, I will not delay the release of TC 6.02 now.

To find out whether it's a plugin or not, all you can do is make a backup of wincmd.ini and then delete all plugins...

I found that all link files with problem locate in "\all users\desktop", link files in current logon user's desktop dir work fine.
btw: I take ownership of those link files in "all users\desktop", change permission to full control, but it doesn't work.

lacro,

If you want to get the new beta of Total Commander go over to http://www.fileforum.com and do a search for Total Commander. They've got it over there & you should have no problem downloading it.

Oh, also...I think Hotmail won't accept files that large.

Regards,
There are some apps that lets you configure the titlebars of any application. Try shellcity.net or google.

Personally, I'm using an alternative shell, PureLS (similar to LiteStep), with a module called fnxl.dll, which does what you want. I've stripped out my name from TC, and I've also made some changes to the Lister-titlebar (now it says: "[filename] - Lister ([plugin])" I did this because I don't like it when apps have the appname before the open file, since this is a problem when switching between tasks with long filenames, I don't know which task is which. )

The file doesn't say beta anymore.
But i cant imagine this is the real final.

If its the real final i think it will be post on the board first?
Or do you "official" beta testers get the final before the public?
