+[8.50pb1 x64] folder copy background stops

Post by *Laszlo »

I want to copy a folder, but after F5 I don't click on OK, but "F2 Queue", total commander only makes the folder name on the target, and stops.

Confirm this.
F5 -> F2 - is broken. Folders are created, but no files are copied.

F5 -> Enter works fine.

Needs to be fixed asap.

I see similar behaviour when doing a F6 move, but use OK or enter. My TC is set to use always Background Transfer Manager.

Edit:
When I use F6 -> F2 (so use foreground in my case) everything works as it should. Additionally, it does not matter if copy/move is to the same drive or another. So BTM is the culprit here.

Strange, it works with my wincmd.ini, but not with fresh ini - then it just copies the folders. I will check it.

If that matters, I did this with an old ini, not a fresh one.

Same problem here.
My instance is upgraded from 8.01 x64. It should not be a problem about fresh ini.
Maybe the 64bit is a point?

It has to do with second line "Only files of this type". Try putting *.* there and it should work.

Confirmed.

But it should act same, no matter with or w/o F2, right?

Of course, this isn't intentional and will be fixed in beta 2.

I'm moving this to fixed bugs because I didn't receive any similar reports for newer betas.
