-[8.50b2] F2 in search results after switching tab

Try the following:
1. Do some search in some folder and feed results to panel.
2. Switch tab to another and back.
3. Press F2 (Ctrl+R). TC returns to wrong folder. It is expected that TC will return to previous folder of that tab but it returns to folder of another tab.

Not confirmed. Do you search in archives or in temp folders?

CONFIRMED. TC8.50 x32 on Windows 7 - instead of the orginal Tab you get the tab you switched to displayed instead of the orginal....

This can be Win7 specific, I do not get this behavior on WinXP.

It may be reproduced in older TC versions too, and on WinXP too. You don't need archives or network drives, just two tabs with directories on your system drive.

Finally CONFIRMED. And not even on the system drive. Both tabs must be on the same panel and previously I tried on different panels. WinXP x32.

TC does not remember the path where a search started. Therefore F2 will just bring you to the last active directory, not to the root of the search.

That sounds sad... It is really unexpected that panel path will be lost after closing search results.

Press backspace before switching tabs and you will return to your folder.

It is not a solution at all. If you have already switched tab you can't go back to the past and press F2 or backspace in search results tab.

Bzzzzzt... it always loses the previous path... you must return to it BEFORE you switch tabs...

Actually I didn't fix it, I added completely new functionality: When the search result is now shown in a panel, TC remembers the directory which was there previously. This doesn't neccessarily have to be the start directory of the search, because it can be changed by the user within the search dialog. Since it is remembered separately for each tab, this will work with multiple search results on different tabs.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems with this new function.

You're right, it is more a new feature than a bugfix. I meant that incorrect behaviour is now fixed.
