Hi guys,
When transferring text files to a Linux box some FTP clients change the text file structure (or so it seems) to use only CR (without LF). Apparently TC doesn't do this.
Is it possible to have a program process the files before transferring them? Or maybe there are plans to add this feature (I would think quite easy to implement)?
Thanks.

Thank
Ok; it turns out that in fact it works with Automatic (or text) mode. The problem is that there's a bug in TC: if you change some options in Option - FTP, the changes take place only if you close down TC and start it back up. So we were changing the settings to Text mode, but we were not restarting TC...
Thanks.
Thanks.

You don't need to restart TC, but you need to change the option in the FTP toolbar shown during a connection! The options in the configuration are only for a new start.

If you change the settings in Configuration - Options - FTP (default transfer mode) you have to restart before the settings take effect -- this is what was throwing us off... Maybe a warning message in the options ("these options require restart" -- or something like this) would be appropriate...
Thanks.
Thanks.
