+File cannot be overwritten by itself
This is a Bug report translated from the Slovak/Czech forum.
---
Win 7 SP1 32bit, TC8.50b5
Copying "C:\Program Files\TotalCmd" to new folder named "C:\Program Files\TotalCmd850b4"
After UAC confirmation the copying starts but randomly (say at 42%) fails with the error "File cannot be overwritten by itself". This does not always happen but it can always be reproduced by clicking Pause, waiting for two seconds and then Start. Afterwards the cursor is not placed on the "Totalcmd" folder where it was placed before but on ".." (still in Program Files). The bug does not happen when "Copy NTFS permissions" is checked.
Also, how can I set "Copy NTFS permissions" permanently?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Confirmed, thanks! It seems to be related to another Shift+F5 problem someone reported recently.

This should be fixed in beta 6!

Could you please report any reply from the Slovak/Czech forum here? I put a Google-translated test request there, but I'm not regularly monitoring this forum.

Christian,
Caution - machine translation - Ace Translator 11:
It is my great honor to get an answer from the author of the best file manager in the world.
I have the "Copy date and time for the folders" and this does not work when copying as administrator (UAC). This is not a bug, but imperfection. Copied folders are set to the current time. Without UAC works correctly.
It is operating properly when checked "Copy right NTFS" (similar to previous bug). Could you please add to wincmd.ini something like "CopyNTFSpermissions=1", so it is enabled by default?
Thank you. Martin

Hmm, I don't understand - this post has nothing to do with this bug report. It seems to be a new report about copying NTFS permissions? Please do not mix bug reports.

Christian,
The original post said "The bug does not happen when "Copy NTFS permissions" is checked." Now the user mentions there is another bug that does exhibit itself only when not copying NTFS permissions (just like the first bug). Perhaps he assumes those two are related.
I can open a new bug report if you wish.
