TC media player stops when streaming media after screen off

Post by *TwistedPair »

I have an ACER Iconia Tab A210 and have suddenly been having problems where the TC media player stops playing audio stream from my WDTV (over LAN plugin) about 60-90 seconds after the screen is turned off.

Android 4.1.1; Wifi->Advanced->Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep = Always.

Any suggestions?

Update

After TC's internal media player pauses if I leave it for 3-5 minutes it plays a few seconds on it's own then appears to skip forward a few seconds.

When you keep the player in the fireground, it should keep the screen on, so the network connection isn't lost. Otherwise there is no guarantee that Android will keep the connection, even when there are active transfers.

Actually even when playing video the TC internal media player allows the screen to blank after the default time. I assumed that when playing audio the screen didn't need to be on.

Fixed...

Oddly enough this issue seems to have been fixed with the 2.04 update of the LAN Plugin. It also fixed the issue where the internal media player would not advance to the next track in the queue when the screen was off.

Thank you!
