View root when switching between drives

Post by *bimma »

Hi

When I switch between drives, I want the view to go to the root of the drive, instead of showing the last opened directory, which seems to be the default. Can't find anything in the settings that let's me alter this, or I'm just too stupid to know where to look :) Anyway, I would greatly appriciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Put AlwaysToRoot=1 in your wincmd.ini

I try this but it doesn't work. It keeps coming back to the last opened directory in that drive.
Do Ihave to put this setting somewhere specially in the wincmd.ini?

:)  Hi !

1. You must place this instruction-row within the section:
[Configuration] There is no matter for the position in this section. Try to place it in the alphabetical order, only because it'll be easier to check the file later...

2. You must close / restart TC in order that the new instruction be loaded and executed...

  Kind regards,
Claude

Yes, & don't forget - close down TC before you edit the .ini file. Once you have edited it, you can open up TC again.

Little additional hint for those who only sometimes need to go to the root drive - remember that pressing "Ctl + \" puts you in the root dir quickly :)
