-search in separate process do not search in selected dirs
The new command "search in separate process" do not search in selected dirs, but in all dirs. The old one does (work well).

Sorry, this feature is not supported. The checkbox "Search in selected" is disabled in the separate search.

Ok. I saw, but I had think that's was a forgetfulness.ghisler(Author) wrote:Sorry, this feature is not supported. The checkbox "Search in selected" is disabled in the separate search.
You can write in help file:
Only search in selected directories/files*
Only search in directories and files selected in Total Commander's active file window. This allows to include/exclude specific files and directories from the search.
* Disabled in the separate search.

Instruction:
1. Start Total Commander.
2. Choose the folder for search and right-click according to it. The chosen folder will be illuminated in the red color.
3. Choose "Search for" or press a combination of the Alt+Shift+F7 keys.
4. Search will be executed in the chosen folder (in the folder illuminated in the red color).
An example of this instruction in practice:

I can confirm the observation from BIR.

In my opinion, the following text should be removed from helpfile as this works in the meantime:TC-Hilfe: wrote:Dialog box: Search: General
Only search in selected directories/files
Only search in directories and files selected in Total Commander's active file window.
This allows to include/exclude specific files and directories from the search.
Currently not available in "Search in separate process" (Alt+Shift+F7).

Now in the Help of TC 9.0 RC3 it is written so:
Only search in selected directories/files
Only search in directories and files selected in Total Commander's active file window. This allows to include/exclude specific files and directories from the search. Note: When using "Search in separate process" (Alt+Shift+F7), this option gets disabled when you switch away from the search dialog to any other window (because the selection could be changed by that).
