AFAIK this is OS (NT5.1+) feature, not Commander.[/face]

I don't know if it is a feature of OS or Commander but i know that old versions of Commander didn't have user name in Title bar, and by that i came to conclusion that it's the feature of commander which i don't want to use.
Is it possible that we'll have the option to disable that feature in the future?

Was it under the same OS you use now? What about other programs you start via runas?[/face]

I guess it belongs to the new feature with shows the instance of TC - if you run TC more than once.

It's quite another subject - not the display of the registration name but the user who did start the program if he's different from the user who is logged on.

I tried it with Wincommander V4.0. If you start it as different user, there is no name displayed. To runas is the feature of OS - to display the users name is not ( although the OS is obvious transmitting the name to the program).BlackDog wrote: AFAIK this is OS (NT5.1+) feature, not Commander.

Hi Stefan,
Sorry, I misunderstood...
• Though there are two user-accounts in my XP, we use one the most time, hence we didn't see that feature.
Kind regards,
Claude

2DefooW : Disabling the username display for a runas instance of TC is very dangerous.
You must be aware about the capabilities of each instance at any time. File Access is only one task that is different.
(e.g. an application started by TC will also have the user rights of the launching TC instance.)
If you have multiple instances of TC running (one as current user and another as different user) it is difficult to recall which is which.

Everything you said is true, but i assume that the people who are doing runas know what are they doing.
But because of the people who have problems with all that you said, i only asked if there will be an option to enable/disable that feature.
I already know few people that are wishing the same thing as i do.
Enable/Disable Option of User name in Title bar and let the people choose.

Use Lefteous beta of LaunchTC. There he offers it if you send him an email. If you use in the LaunchTC.ini Flag=2 the Username isn't displayed.DefooW wrote:Everything you said is true, but i assume that the people who are doing runas know what are they doing.
