-[8.50ß9] Cannot rename in-place when pasting U+0000

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

-[8.50ß9] Cannot rename in-place when pasting U+0000

I'm using François GANNIER’s FileInfo Lister plugin. When viewing an example.exe file and copying the FileVersion number (e.g. “2.0.1.4”), the clipboard text (invisibly) ends with the Unicode NULL character.

When trying to rename in-place example.exe to example-2.0.1.4.exe by typing hyphen and pasting the clipboard text, TC reports access denied:
Error: Cannot write C:\Users\user\Desktop\example-2.0.1.4.exe!

Please remove the write protection!
I'd suggest the NULLs get stripped from file name strings.

I'm not happy with changing what the user types or pastes, he may have a reason for what he does (e.g. exotic servers).
