Help! Can I output the "Feed to Listbox" results t

Post by *jjou »

These 2 commands are very very useful to me! Thanks!
Search Duplicate files
"Feed to Listbox"
Commands - Search - Advanced - Duplicate files and "Feed to Listbox".

Helps needed:
Is there a way to remember the Listbox, so I do not have to search again?
Can I output the "Feed to Listbox" results to a file?

Can I output the "Feed to Listbox" results to a file?
While you are still see the search results, click on one of the entries and press Ctrl-C
This copies all entries to the clipboard.
Just open a text editor and paste it with Ctrl-V .

Hi sqa Wizard,
thank you for your prompt response!

I tried to use it before and after "Feed to Listbox".

Ctrl-C will copy the actual files not a list in "text".
I hope it is text that I can view or print out in order to process them later on.

Ctrl+C before "Feed to Listbox" copies the file names, not the actual files. The group separators grouping the duplicates are not copied however, making this less useful. You may want to simply print the list to a pdf, xps, or text file using menu Files/Print/File list (after "Feed to Listbox").

Hi White,

I use alt-F7 search function.
It allows me to edit or print the search result before "feed to listbox".
when I use control-c.
It give me the file, not the text result today.

strange?

Are you saying Ctrl+C one day copies the file names to clipboard, another day Ctrl+C copies the actual files to clipboard?
If so, please write a bug report to the bug reports forum.

By the way, you can copy file details of files listed in a panel using:
Menu option Mark/Copy Selected Names To Clipboard
Menu option Mark/Copy Names With Path To Clipboard
etc.

Which version of Total Commander are you using?

It allows me to edit or print the search result before "feed to listbox". I suppose TC is get the actual file.

when I use control-c,
