-[8.50b15 64] Synchronize dirs issue

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

-[8.50b15 64] Synchronize dirs issue

Post by *fleggy »

Hello,

yesterday I updated 32_64 beta14 to beta15 (with incomplete history.txt). Today I copied the whole folder totalcmd to d:\backup\totalcmd and updated again to the fresh beta 15. Then I wanted to compare the old beta 15 installation with the new beta. But Synchronize dirs found no diffrerence.
Left Panel: c:\program files(x86)\totalcmd
Righ Panel: d:\backup\totalcmd
checked checkboxes: Subdirs, by content, ignore date
Show: all buttons pressed

I tried to run TCMD as Administrator but the result was the same - empty list.

Thanks, Tomas

You probably have the button "unequal" =/= disabled (not down). Since the file history.txt has the same date+time, but different sizes, it's not marked with a direction -> or <-, but instead just as different =/=.

I've tried all meaningful combinations (including all buttons pressed) and different settings but no success.

BTW I can see a funnel icon in the right-bottom corner and a number 238 next to it (total count of files in totalcmd folder) - is this the problem? How can I get rid of it?

EDIT:
I mean right-bottom corner of the window "Synchronize directories". Isn't it a symbol for some kind of filter?

EDIT2:
I've tried another dirs with little differences and it seems that Synchronize dirs... does not work on my notebook at all. :(

Heureka! I had the buttons Sigles and Duplicates unpressed. Sorry for the false alarm.

Yes, the funnel shows how many files are NOT shown because they are filtered out!
