-[8.50RC1 64]: strange command line history

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

-[8.50RC1 64]: strange command line history

Post by *fleggy »

Hello,

TC seldom shows a some existing file when I try to invoke the command line history by CTRL+DN_ARROW. First CTRL+DN_ARROW fills command line edit box with a correct command but any other CTRL+DN_ARROW does not show the complete list but some file name (partially selected). I've checked the section [Command line history] in my WINCMD.INI and everything looks OK. In this case I have to restart TC to get rid of it (or use mouse to show the list).
BTW it is an old issue. I had the same problem with 8.01. I have no idea what could cause this behaviour.

Thanks, Tomas

Sometimes auto-complete and auto-append may interfere with Ctrl+Down arrow when there is already something in the command line.

I'm sure this is not the case. I always delete the entire command line when this happens. Even the filename is not from the current dir.
