Dear author and developers,
ТC deletes files directly without asking for confirmation when
Explorer method is chosen, asking for confirmation is switched off in M$ Windows (Explorer) settings,
but all confirmations in TC settings is checked.
I face with such a situation for first time and it is very unexpected for me this silent deleting, because I use to trust TC settings.
The situation is the same in all previous 8.50 betas, and also in TC 8.01.
So it seems it's not a real bug but an imperfection of TC.
It will be better I think, at least Shift+F8 command strictly to follow TC-comfirmations settings and Explorer method to start after confirmation.
If somebody thinks that Explorer method of deleting files must include explorer setting of asking for comfirmation, this rule can be realized in Shift+Del command.
Then Shift+Del and Shift+F8 will be a bit different.
So I suggest a democracy solution of Explorer method of deleting files:
1/ Shift+Del - Windows Explorer setting for confirmations to be dominant
2/ Shift+F8 - Total Commander setting for confirmations to be dominant
The problem becomes more important when s.b. uses TC as a portable aplication on other PC without knowing what are Explorer settings.
If nobody agree with upper mentioned as a problem, then a golden rule remains: using TC with switched off Explorer method of deleting, when confirmation is important.
Best regards for all TC enthusiasts!

Yes, when you use the Explorer method, the Explorer settings apply. Btw, you do get a request when not deleting to recycle bin, so the files can always be recovered.
