TC Hangs
A new problem with TC has just started every time I use it: it hangs for a minute when double clicking on the TC icon from the desktop.
My computer (Win98SE) is not connected to a network drive, nor does it show a path to a network drive in wincmd.ini.
What should I do?
Thanks for the help.

1. What happens if you start TC by double clicking on the actual .EXE?
2. Have you tried making a brand new short cut on the desktop?

Hello !
• Do you mean that TC displays a network-icon, although none network is installed ?
* In such a case, you could try that follows:
Desktop >> Start menu >> Parameters >> Configuration Pannel >> System >> Network boards (2-click) >> Tick the box "Disable in this profile" (or so, I've Windows 98 SE in French!)
- Restart Windows...
• As soon as a network-board is detected, Windows installs it, and displays a Network Neighbourhood icon on the Destop...
- Now, many network-boards are built-in the mother-boards, that could cause the problem when none real network is installed.
Kind regards,
Claude

Hi again !
• Have you an anti-virus scanner running as soon as Win starts, then sets minimized in the Tray ?
• If you have, please disable it for a test...
- To continue...

TC has changed the way it is runtime-compressed.Why the problem now?
Just exclude TotalCmd.exe from virus-scan.Do you have any idea what I can do about this?
It is still secure, because TC has its own CRC check and will terminate if it is modified
