Total Commander 8.50, 32-bit
Windows 7, 64-bit
Compare two files by content.
Switch mode to binary. *
Compare.
Select one or more lines.
Right click marked line(s).
Copy selection to clipboard. Result: Clipboard now contains an empty string, and not the selected hex values/text.
* = If binary mode is unchecked, everything works just fine.
Of all the planets I've been to, this one is my favorite.

Confirmed.
This works in TC 8.01, so it must be a new bug.

I will check it, thanks. Probably broken when I added Unicode support.

I cannot get any crash here - what files are you comparing? I could reproduce the first reported bug, though.

It is very strange, I'm not alone with this issue, but may be some interference with other programs in my PC ....

I can reproduce it under both Windows 7 x64 and Windows 8.1 x64 with TC 8.51b1 x64. Testet with clean ini-files.

Yes I did - no crash at all. I tried various text and binary files. Maybe I'm just trying the wrong files? Does it happen with any files coming with TC?

Yes, I can produce it by comparing my wincmd.ini and wcxftp.ini
or even better for you comparing descript.ion and Totalcmd.inc
Using TC 8.51b1 x64 under Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I compared TC's history.txt and keyboard.txt - and it happens whether I use Ctrl+C or I right click on the selected line to copy it.
As written before: Testet under Windows 7 x64 and Windows 8.1 x64 with TC 8.51b1 x64. Testet with clean ini-files.

Unfortunately I don't get any crash with history.txt and keyboard.txt either - what lines did you try to copy? Left or right panel?
