+Fatal error in CheckDir thread

Post by *corporator »

There is an error popup appeared when a TC was not used for some time (more than 30 minutes). After clicking OK button TC continues to normal work, nothing bad happens.
I'm using TC 8.50 Release 32bit on Windows 7 SP1 64bit with all updates and EMET (DEP and SEHOP in Opt-Out mode). TC 8.01 was used in this configuration for about a year without any problems.
Thank you!

Could you post (or send me) the [Configuration] section of your wincmd.ini, please?

The error occurs when TC tries to update the total and free space in the drive buttonbar. This is a very old function, which hasn't been changed recently, and where TC checks whether the bar exists or not.

Before that error has appeared I mount and dismount a network drive. Also this error appeared only once and not repeats systematically.

This is the "Configuration" section.

Thanks! So you have two drive button bars enabled, but not the drive dropdown combobox. I couldn't reproduce the error so far, but maybe it helps when you enable the drive dropdown combobox too. It normally shouldn't take more space on screen.

Just one more question: Were you using a program (e.g. a game) which changed the display resolution?

Thank you!
My laptop's screen is just 12" and I switched off drive combo boxes.
There was a fullscreen application launched before that error occured. I suppose that a screen resolution was temporarily changed.

If there isn't any reply to this thread within the next 7 days, I will move it to fixed bugs.
