?Win 8.1 x64: TC process does not end

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

?Win 8.1 x64: TC process does not end

Post by *teti »

When I exit an instance of TC in Win 8.1 x64 the window closes but the process stays active. CPU usage of every hanging process is approx. 18%. It happens every time, no exception. When I start and exit TC e.g. 5 times there are 5 active processes.

This belongs to 8.50 final as well as 8.51 Beta 2

Edit: Forgot to mention that this happens with the 32bit and the 64bit version of TC

Do you use any plugins? Try to start TC with clean configuration by specifying command line parameter /i=new.ini. Will it hang on exit then?

Not confirmed. Maybe a hanging Explorer extension? Try turning off icons and file hints.
