-Columns' widths (and contents) bug

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

-Columns' widths (and contents) bug

Take a look at "Size" column's width. It's pretty wide, but it's contents still overlap the contents of the column at left.
Making "Size" column makes no sense, since due to some bug it's contents don't get properly aligned (they should be aligned by the right side, but they are not).

This isn't a bug - it's how the size column is implemented: It is right aligned, but the position is determined by the LEFT separator. Why? This way you can control the distance to the left column AND to the right column.

Instead of creating intentional bugs to solve mythical problems, why not just give the user control over each column's contents' alignment?

HAL 9000,
You mean something like Custom columns?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

If you want to be in 100% control of alignment yourself, you easily can.
Right click the column headers, select Configure custom columns. Now choose the button "New".
Here you can set up which ever columns you want, and which side you want them aligned to.
Of all the planets I've been to, this one is my favorite.

Thx for the tip, Aezay, will look into that (I hope TC allows to create duplicate columns, so I could replace built-in with the very same, but my own ones).
