+[8.51ß3] Font issue with AlignNumberFix=1, SegoeUI semibold

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

+[8.51ß3] Font issue with AlignNumberFix=1, SegoeUI semibold

Post by *Fossi »

The new option to solve the font issues with Opentype fonts like SegoeUI works fine with the types "normal" and "bold". It is not working correctly with the type "semibold".

May I have hope that this will be fixed? :D

Thanks a lot.

Can't confirm. Works as advertised.

Please note that only the semibold variant shows that behaviour in the first place (i.e. unaligned numericals).

You have set:
[Configuration]
AlignNumberFix=1

?

Yes the configuration shows:

[Configuration]
AlignNumberFix=1

I will try on a second pc.

I guess you both should inform us about your OS version.

I have the same system on my Samsung covertible, and Segoe UI Semibold is correctly shown. It's not necessary to set AlignNumberFix=1 yourself because this is the default.

I had some time to test around and found something interesting.

The new option AlignNumberFix is working fine here with a fresh ini.

Then I made some more test with the following result. It is not working correctly with configured custom colums. Sorry for being late with this information, but it is default for me and so I missed. :)

Here are some screenshots:

Hope this helps. :)

Indeed this isn't currently supported in custom columns. Why? The function doesn't support font substitution, and the columns can contain text from other languages.
