Hi Fossi!

I cannot reproduce this error here (same OS, tried TC 8.51ß3 x86 and x64). Is there any special action to take?

Greetings

Hi Gerby,

I didn´t do something special.

Even with no entry for AlignNumberFix in the wincmd.ini I got the crash. :?

Just to make sure that it isn't a faulty font file:
  • C:\Windows\Fonts\consola.ttf
  • 358,256 bytes
  • MD5: fe4a6c771135c7d60c684b564466e82a
Does the problem also occur with any other font?

Full match for MD5 checksum and filesize. So it should not be a faulty font.

Are you by chance using a wrong/old uniscribe dll?
Check the version of "c:\Windows\System32\usp10.dll" and "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\usp10.dll" on your machines please (for Win8.1 Segoe bug too).

It could indeed be an older usp10.dll - I will add checks whether the functions are really present or not.

Hmm, just tested with Consolas for all 3 font settings (File lists, Main window and Dialog box) both bold and normal - no crash.

usp10.dll 1.626.7601.18009

Testet both with TC 8.51b3 332bit and 64bit under Windows 7 SP1 x64

It seems to crash because function ScriptFreeCache hasn't been loaded yet. I will check it.

When I try to change font/size in Configuration->Font dialog TC x86 crush in same manner as Fossi said. This occur for all three settings regardless font family and size. Only TC x32 is affected. Tested on both x86 and x64 Win 7. TC x64 work fine. I speak about TC 8.51b3.
