-Sync. Dirs - Esc doesn't work after changing the direction

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

-Sync. Dirs - Esc doesn't work after changing the direction

Post by *MarcinW »

Tested with 32-bit TC 8.51 Beta 3:

1) Launch "Synchronize Dirs" command,
2) Press "Compare" button,
3) You can close the window with Esc,
4) Repeat step 1) and 2),
5) Change synchronizing direction of some file - click on the arrow in the "<=>" column,
6) Now you can't close the window with Esc anymore.

Confirmed!
I noticed many times that Sync dialog can't be closed by Esc, but couldn't find condition.

That's not a bug but by design. Ghisler has explained it somewhere. The sync dialog should not close if the user made changes in the dialog and presses ESC by mistake.

So maybe an additional confirmation (message box) would be a good idea in this case, instead of blocking Esc permanently?

It's by design, so you don't lose your work by accident. Alt+F4 still works.
