Where is the problem? Just press Alt+F1, the "+".

Can we make this sign configurable? Now working on my work laptop with it for the first time, and without the numpad I need to use shift to acces the "+" and "*" (US keyboard layout).

In general
Alt+F1, "c" = "Hard disk C"
Alt+F1, "+" = "Computer (drive overview)"
Alt+F1, "*" = "My Documents (directory)"
Alt+F1, "" = "Network Neighborhood"

But in my HP notebook, and default is US Keyboard.
Alt+F1, "c" => OK
Alt+F1, Num "+" => OK
Alt+F1, "+" (Shift + "=") => Does not work
Alt+F1, Num "*" => OK
Alt+F1, "*" (Shift + "8") => OK
Alt+F1, "" => Does not work

I do not have a Dell, but on my Samsung notebook/convertible without numeric keypad it works just fine also with U.S. English layout...

My Windows 7 is Chinese Big5 code,
and after checked the biggest Chinese(GB code) TC forum, seems have the same problem.

I tried to change the option for "non-Unicode programs" in Control Panel to "English(US)" ,
Now both Shift + "8" & Shift+"='" are OK, and Alt+F1, "\" can change to Network Neighborhood.
But it will impact to the other programs.

So may be you can also change the "non-Unicode programs" to "Chinese" Big5 or GB code, to reproduce this problem.

Update summary as below, and seems the same situation in ["Compare by contents" highlight effect].

1. English Windows XP => OK
2. English Windows XP and change "non-Unicode programs" in Control Panel to "Chinese(TW)" => NG

3. Chinese Windows XP => NG
4. Chinese Windows XP and change "non-Unicode programs" in Control Panel to "English(US)" => OK

5. Chinese Windows 7 => NG
6. Chinese Windows 7 and change "non-Unicode programs" in Control Panel to "English(US)" => OK


Change "non-Unicode programs" in Control Panel - Regional and Language options to "English(US)" can solve Shortcut keys & Compare contents problem,
but it will cause Chinese characters not displaying correctly for many non-Unicode programs/files.

I could reproduce the problem on Chinese Windows. Can you try again with beta 4, please?

WinXP, Win7 32bit and Win7 64bit works fine with TCMD 8.51 beta 4.


But suggest to update HISTORY.TXT form:
Alt+F1/F2: Couldn't access items "+" and "*" with keyboard when using Chinese locale (32/64)

to:
Alt+F1/F2: Couldn't access items "+" and "\" with keyboard when using Chinese locale (32/64)

Because the problem was "\" , not "*".
