using builtin zipper for .war files

Post by *tc »

.war files are plain pkzip files.
i would like to browse them just as i do this with .zip or .jar files.
how could i tell tcmd's internal zipper to recognize a .war file as normal .zip file?

thx djk.
fast reply ;-)
is there any way to give them exactly the same behaviour as .zip files?
1)the usual zip icon, instead of eg. the winrar icon
2)opening them (for browsing) also per the (for zip's) usual doubleclick, instead of being opened w/ external zipper

Ad. 2 Probably you have .war files associated to WinRar. I think you should remove the association.

I have no association with .war files and I am able to open it with just Enter key.
The problem is - I have normal unknown file icon, not the archive icon, but maybe somebody knows how to change it in TC. Or you could try in Windows to change it the icon of such file type but do not associate any program to it.
Additionally - in order to allow you searching in this archives see:

oopsie
yup, henrich you're right.
not only .ear and .war are actually pkzip format, .jars are as well.
thought .jar was something else, that's why i took the multarc.wcx plugin w/ the jar.addon for seemless integration.
For .war and .ear i now just had to map multiarc.wcx to these endings.
