?"Copy date/time of directories" NOT WORKING PROPE

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

?"Copy date/time of directories" NOT WORKING PROPE

Post by *engineer »

When extracting .7z (7-zip v9.20) archives, the date/time of directories stored in the .7z archives can't be copied correctly to the destination panel/location. However, for zip & rar archives, the date/time of directories are correctly copied.

Hello, engineer.

Which method do you use for extracting .7z archives?
  • Total Commander internal unpacker?
  • 7zip-plugin?
If the latter, then the question is which plugin, please?
I use the T.C. 7-zip plugin 0.7.6.5a and folder timestamps will be restored to the target location correctly, i.e. folder timestamps inside the .7z archive == folder timestamps in the target location.

Crosschecked using the T.C. internal 7zip unpacker: Problem reproduced. Folder timestamps are not restored.

Total Command 8.51.rc1 32-bit

Kind regards,
Karl

Thats only a minor problem
as most users will install one of the two good 7zip plugins anyway.
Just for being able to also create 7zip archives.
