Compare by Content and Unicode Problem?
I noticed today that when I compare two text files by content, instead of the usual nice and neat double screen of text, Total Commander showed me two screens in binary mode. When I switched off binary it showed me an empty box in front of every character.
The only other time I've seen that is when a program didn't know how to handle unicode text. Is there a reason why v5.5 can't handle unicode (assuming that is the problem)? Would upgrading to 5.5.11 help?

Re: Compare by Content and Unicode Problem?
Thanks, guys... I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't something simple I missed or that it wasn't fixed in the latest version.UniCode is the problem! V5.51 don't help to solve this problem.
Any suggestions for the unicode problem?
I run into the unicode obstacle as well when comparing unicode-textfiles.
Does anyone know an easy way to convert? that at least would enable me to find those differences...
