Directory Hotlist item disappear

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Directory Hotlist item disappear

Post by *quandomai »

Hi,

Randomly, i noticed that some entries in my directory hotlist disappear.
Like the shortcut to my Desktop folder...

Any ideas?

Best regards,
Andrea

Ps. i forgot to tell that i've just updated to 8.51a.
I'm using 64bit version on Windows 8.

Maybe you accidentally press R in hotlist menu when that directory is active? R executes remove list item command.

Do you launch TC from different places?
And so it could be you use different INIs from time to time?

Or sometimes you have no write access to the INI, so you add an directory, but it is not saved?

No, i always start it from the same shortcut.

My TC folder is c:\totalcmd
My shortcut starts TOTALCMD64.EXE
The ini file used is the one in the c:\totalcmd folder

Sorry MVV, you were right!
With the hotlist opened i pressed the R key to quick select my Resource shortcut.
That deleted the active directory shortcut.

Thank you!

Well, you can remove shortcut from remove command. Just create dummy WCMD_blahblahblah_ENG.lng file with the only line and switch to it:

Code: Select all

1147="Remove current dir\t& "
(note that shortcut character is a non-breaking space Alt+0160; you can use any other shortcut character)
